I'm sure that planning a wedding in the late 60's couldn't have been anywhere near as complicated as planning a wedding of today.
As I talked to my mother about her wedding planning experience vs my wedding planning experience - there's one thing that we had in common for sure....and that's being head over heels in love.
Here's my contribution to a CB celebration of black love circa 1968. This is my mother & father who were married in Queens, New York.

Sometimes I wish I could have gotten married back then, where men were truly the men of the house.
