You know how you thumb through a magazine sometimes, only gazing at the pictures? Well, this particular picture caught my eye the other day. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what type of flowers were included in this bouquet. I mean, I'm no floral guru - but for the most part, I can identify a peony when I see one...but this had me puzzled. Then after my eyes drifted down toward the accompanying editorial, I realized that this bouquet is PAPER!!!!!! Yes! PAPER! We're talkin' probably 5-7 bucks for a bridal bouquet! (LOL!)
Well, I'll be. Who would have ever thought that simple paper could be so elegant. So, after further research, I discovered that paper can actually be a wonderfully economic alternative to some of the expensive wedding and reception decor.
All hail Martha Stewart. I walked into Michaels (the craft store) the other day and was FLOORED after discovering that Martha Stewart has her OWN AISLE. Now that I think about it, I should have taken a picture with my cell phone because if you haven't seen it, you probably wouldn't believe it. Martha has her OWN LINE of paper fully equipped with wire, accessories, and complete directions that will make the task of creating these paper masterpieces easy as pie.

WOW those are gorgeous!
I wonder if they look that good in real life. Everywhere I roam on CB, I see awesome posts about what can be found there for the DIY bride. I'm fortunate enough to have a Michael's very close to me so I'm going to have to stop by and check things out.
